AUTOMATIC ERASE SETTINGS

By default, The Archivist opens in auto erase on and this can be noticed with the “√” symbol before this menu item of menu Documents.

Consequently, a text file that is imported in The Archivist will be automatically trashed as a file thus avoiding duplication of your documents. If this setting is turned of by selecting this menu item, all text files imported in The Archivist will stay as a file on your desktop.

This menu item is in fact a toggle switch.
